[Opinions] Obituary
My great-uncle passed away at the end of January. I didn't know him and I also didn't go to the funeral (neither was I really invited), but my mum had brought an obituary card back with her from the funeral, so that's how I came across his name:Aloisius Franciscus "Wies" (Wies is pronounced "Wees")He was born in 1930.•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I know, it's all horrible teenage angst.

It's something other than Johannes Maria. I rather like it, but I'm not too sure where Wies comes from.

Aloisius is pronounced al-oh-WEE-see-us around here, so that's where Wies might come from.

It's very over the top and German but it's handsome!

As I told la-petite-rachel, I'm from the Netherlands and my parents (and their ancestors) were all born near the Belgian border :)

Sounds really German! A good name. May he rest in peace.
