[Opinions] Rosen
I met an elderly man named Rosen the other day, and I think it's great! What do you think? xx

It's too surnamey for me. It's a fairly common surname where I live, particularly among Jewish people. I think of the children's writer Michael Rosen. It's not a bad name but not something I'd use.

Love it. I asked for male variants of Rose a while ago and this was one of the things I got - I absolutely adore it.

Cool! I can't say I'd love to see it on a bunch of baby boys, but still cool.

I first though of Rosenthal then I thought of rosin for a bow. But I don't mind the name. I don't think of the flower rose.

It's the name of a lot of my Jewish relatives. As a first name, it seems appropriated, along the lines of Cohen. Though I must admit if I met an old man named Rosen I'd probably be charmed.

I love it, but on a girl ;)Was just last night trying to make some random combos with names that were interesting me at the moment - Rozenn Edith made the list, though I'm not totally sold on that spelling

Ooh, I like it! Was it pronounced RO-zin? Or ROZ-in? I like it with the long o only. Otherwise it sounds like someone trying to say raisin fancily. :) I have always liked Rose for a boy's middle name and Rosie as a nickname for Ambrose, so this fits right in!

It was pronounced like RO-zin :) I'm glad you like it, too!
I'd never thought about Rose on a boy before- I like it! Who says flower names should be reserved for girls? xx

Yeah! I think roses aren't a particularly feminine flower, plus Rose is a surname.

I'd love my surname to be Rose, wouldn't you? :) I don't think roses are very feminine either! xx
