Help[Opinions] Anchoret
I think I love this name! It's Welsh and means much loved. Too me it sounds classic in a European way. Many Christian saints were anchorites who removed themselves from the world to focus on their spirituality. I think Lux or Bliss would be great middle names. What do you think?

I actually like it. What Pie said though... it isn't Welsh itself. I do like Angharad, and didn't know this was an Anglicization of it. Angharad is very flowing and green and red, but Anchoret is sharper and since it has anchor right in it, feels very nautical which I think is really interesting. Anchoret Lux would work better of those two options, but Angharad Bliss would be gorgeous.

Why not use the Welsh spelling? Otherwise the anchor and anchorite associations will follow her forever.
Bliss worked for the poet at a mn, but in today's world it sounds a bit off: like synthetic chocolate icecream or perhaps a vaginal gel. Lux is definitely soap in spite of or because of the meaning. If it was me, I'd consider Angharad Dinah or Angharad Sarah.

It isn't Welsh. It's a medieval anglicisation of Angharad, which I much prefer.

I read it are Anchorette; a small, female anchor.
What's the pronunciation? I know nothing of Welsh. And besides, I am dyslexic. It's probably a very nice name :)

I'd like Bliss for a middle name, but not Lux... it's sad, but to me Lux sounds like a cleaning product. I think it's the ending in an X.
