[Opinions] Pronunciation?
I just finished reading Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye" and have to give a 45 minute report on it in class. However I can't decide how I would pronounce the name Pecola. The name is that of one of the main characters of the book and my group came up with two ways to say it: PECK-o-la and Peh-co-la What do you think?

I read this book and when we discussed it in class, we all pronounced it as PEH-co-la.
i read it as pee-coal-ah
I like Pehcola most, but to me, it seems that the name should be pronounced Pea-colla.
If I were you, I'd ask my prof how s/he would pronunce the name and use that pronunciation.
