Like Anneza, I read it as DAN-em-und. Maybe because Rosemond like Rosamund. DAIN-mund does not seem to me like it would be a typical way to say a name that looks so old-englishy. So, I don't think it's close to Damon at all. I like it a little more than Edmund.- mirfak
