Last night Mikey mentioned that he would like to use this name someday to honor a friend of his who died in a car accident. I think that's a nice idea, but it's not really up there on my list. Mikey is fine with it being in the MN position, and I am thrilled that he actually talks to me about names regardless of the fact that we won't be having need for them for quite some time. :) WDYT? Anything spring to mind to pair with it?Edit:

But I'm looking for new ideas so I'd rather you not just pair Joseph with the things I already like because I very easily could have done that myself. Use my favorites as inspiration. :)

I love Joseph! It's a great name and I have a very positive association with Joseph (it's my boyfriend's name and the name of several men in my family...either Joseph or a form of it). I love the nn's Joe and Joey, too.I am also naming one of my sons after a friend who helped me out a lot in a really bad situation I was in, and I may pair his name with Joseph, which would make my firstborn son Nathaniel Joseph.I looked at your favorite names and noticed some Italian ones. Have you considered Giuseppe, the Italian form of Joseph? I had one of those in my family, so I'm partial to the name myself, but it would go nicely with some of the other names in your list.

Joseph would be nice to use as a mn, because it goes well with so many names imo. Plus it has meaning to you and your SO, so that makes it special also. Going by your faves list, we have pretty similar tastes. So here are some suggestions:

Thanks for the suggestions. I'd say you're right about or styles. I like a lot from this list: Alistair, Samuel, Asher, Dominic, Malcom, Felix, and Peter.

I dont like it, its my dad's mn (Timothy Joseph).Its a classic and a good mn, pretty much fits with anything. What names do you like?~~Kris~~

I love the name Joseph! So masculine, great, and Biblical! And mn status is fine, good with almost any good masculine, like Michael, Matthew, Luke, Eric, William, Frederick, Friedrich, Frederik Philip, Robert, Samuel, Karl, Brendan, etc. Don't know if any of those are your style, Adelle. It's a nice idea to honour Mikey's friend. A classic that's never out of style!Edit: After reading your edit, I'll add something: I don't think too many names are directly off of your name list. Hope what I've given you helps!
