But what if little Brave ends up a coward?!

It's bad enough on a boy. On a girl it's awful.

Oh, wow. When I read "Brave Richmond", I thought "oh, okay. It's a bit unusual, but I quite like it, not that I would use it." And then you mentioned it's a little girl and I thought "no. Just no. That name is not suited for a little girl!"I can get around Richmond as a middle name for a girl, but only if she had a girl first name.

Kind of sounds like a sentimental Confederate Civil War ballad.

IMO, very few adjectives make good names, they always sound like descriptions to me.
Actress Cree Summer has two daughters named Brave Littlewing (born March 2011) and Hero Peregrine (born February 2013).

Why? Just why?

Wow! I hope she develops a thick skin to wear that name. She'll need to be brave, lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist, but that brings me to my main point which is that the name carries real baggage as well as teasing potential.

She'll probably grow up to be a scaredy-cat.

That's what I was thinking. What if she grows up scared of her own shadow? The name is really going to be comical, then.

At first I thought she had a boy and even then I wasn't sure...just kept pondering it. But now that I know it's a girl I can't get used to it at all. Or really even take it seriously.
