I'm kind of into it. Boy or girl?

I've never met a female Callisto, but when I graduated high school, the guy next to me at the ceremony was named Anthony Callisto (!).

I did a poll and it's been tied or very close to tied the whole time (and that never happens with my polls, I can usually guess the answers). Open to discussion though.

I wouldn't assume a person named Callisto was a boy or a girl. I prefer it for a girl (I'm Greek, and love Greek myths) but I could also see it on a boy.

Ancient Greek names for females often ended in omega (i.e., "o" in the Latin alphabet; e.g. Sappho, Clio, etc.), so if one is interpreting Callisto as a Greek name, it's indubitably feminine. I adore it!

I voted on your poll yesterday. To be it's male. Why? Because it ends in -o. The feminine version would be Calista / Callista. Seems stupid to be to use Callisto on a girl.
I can see why you like it though. I really started liking it for a boy after seeing your poll yesterday.

After studying Italian for several years, -o endings are totally masculine to me while -a endings are completely feminine. of course there are a few excpetions to this, but Callisto is not one of them. I would expect a Callisto to be male, and a Callista to be female.
