[Opinions] Dominic
What do you think of the name Dominic? Do you prefer the spelling Domnic? What about the nickname Dom (I dislike Nic)?

I love Dominic. It's handsome, suitable for a kid as well as a grown up. Did you really mean Domnic, or was that a typo? I don't like that spelling either way. Dominic is the best one, followed by Dominik. I don't really like Dom as a nickname though, or Nic. I would just call him Dominic, or perhaps Nico.

I love it :) I think Domnic is weird. It looks like a typo. I agree with you on Nic; I think it looks a bit unfinished. I like Dom, though. I wouldn't use it here in the Netherlands, though - "dom" means "dumb" here :p

I think Dominic is pretty handsome in kind of an Italian way. The Dominic spelling is best.
I don't like Dom, it's unattractive and is now used as part of the S&M lingo. Plus it seems a bit too old-mannish.

Dominic okay. I knew two in primary school.
Domnic looks weird, like you've forgotten the i, and it would be said just DOM-nic instead of DOM-uh-nic so it's a slightly different name anyway (I don't like it.)Nicknames is hard, because I think Dom sounds kind of stupid, and I'm not a fan of Nic either. What about Don? It's not much of a stretch..

I like Dominic. It's very solid, and quite handsome. Domnic just looks weird, lo siento. I really like Dom, though I'd probably use Omi; I dunno, I just like the sound and look of it.

I like it, it's on my PNL as a MN, the only reason for that being it ranks so high on the popularity chart and I don't want my child to be Dominic B in class. I think Dom is really cute, I don't make the association with the dominatrix stuff.

I like Dominic. Never saw Domnic until now, and I hope I'll never see it again. What a botched abomination.I'd use it, if at all, as a mn only. Don't mind Nic one bit, but Nicholas is an easier way to achieve it. Where I live, Dom means the same as 'dumb' used as an insult, so I'd avoid it at all costs; however, I wouldn't trust a bunch of witty, humorous eight year olds to avoid it, hence the mn position.

I like Dominic pretty well.
Dom is dorky.
Nickname besides Nic: Doc?

I think it's a very strong and elegant name. I'd probably use it if I ever had a child. Domnic looks almost Romanian to me... I prefer Dominic, maybe Dominique if I were in France, lol.I'd call him Domi, Nico or even Mick, but I don't like Nic(k) for this name either.
