I didn't read this before I made my response. In that case, I don't like Lea. I don't think the syllable "lay" is a good thing in a girl's name. eah And yeah, there'd be confusion. I think a lot of people would, like I did, think it would be pronounced like Leah.

I think for English speakers the pronunciation of LAY-a for the name Lea is not very intuitive. It could be a real headache.
