Yr0: Walt and Connie met when they are young children as they lived in the same neighbourhood. They lost touch briefly when they both moved away to pursure their different careers, but reconnected when they came home for a holiday, now they Walt is 24yrs old and Connie is 21, and they have recently married.
Yr1: Walt takes a business trip to the Middle East to research how to conflict is affecting children. He is only gone for four days but Connie worries constantly the entire time.
Yr2: Walt and Connie welcome a fraternal twin daughters into their family, TwinA is born with curly, brown hair and brown eyes, Walt and Connie name her Adelaide Mary Ellis. TwinB has curly, black hair and blue eyes, she answers to Willow June Ellis.
Yr3: While doing work for the UN on the dirty water crisis in Africa, Walt meets a pair of six year old orphaned twin boys who are too poor to go to school and have to walk miles each day to find water which may kill them. Of course many children are in these boys' position but Walt's heart goes out to these particular children. One phone call to Connie later and the process is being started to bring the boys back to Canada. The first boy is called Isingoma, his twin is Kato, they both have curly, black hair and brown eyes. Walt and Connie give the boys English middle names to make their lives in Canada easier: Isingoma Alex & Kato Edmund Ellis - shortly after arriving in Canada Isingoma decides to start going by "Lex", while Kato sticks with his birth name.
Yr4: The Ellis Family go on vacation to Britain, where they visit London to take in the sights.
Yr5: Connie receives a nice sum of inheritance from her Great Aunt Maeve, totalling at $50,000. Most of it Connie and Walt agree to put into savings accounts for their four children.
Yr6: With the youngest twins starting school, Connie has no children at home, feeling like this is the right time to welcome another addition her and Walt try. Connie gets pregnant with a boy who, when born, has curly, blonde hair and brown eyes. He is named Zade Jeremy Ellis.
Yr7: Connie and Walt give in to the children's pleas for a pet and buy them a fishtank with one large, silver fish inside. The children are not that thrilled, but they take great pride in naming it Houla anyway.
Yr8: Connie is transferred from her post with an A&E department to the local children's hospital.
Yr9: The Ellis Family home in renovated. Mainly it's the children's bedrooms which have lately been falling into disrepair. Yr10: Connie is promoted to Acting Sister on the teenage ward at the children's hospital.
Yr11: Bored with their fish, Connie and Walt finally agree to buy their children something more furry, so they adopt a chinchilla. The children are very happy with Pascal.
Yr12: Walt's job takes him all around the world, visiting a lot of developing countries and meeting struggling families, but in China Walt is horrified to discover the implementation of the "One Child Policy" still in some regions. He visits a children's home and speaks to a worker who tells him that they struggle with the influx of sickly baby girls. Walt meets a six year old girl with undiagnosed respiratory problems who has spent her entire life at the home. The child's name is Meiling and soon she is off to Canada to join the Ellis clan. Meiling has straight, brown hair and brown eyes, to help her adjust to her English life Connie helps her to change her name to Mai Ling Ellis.
Yr13: Connie gives birth to a baby girl, having felt it was the right time to add again to the family giving their youngest children are seven, the new baby has wavy, black hair and hazel eyes. Walt and Connie name her Caroline Peyton Ellis.
Yr14: Walt feels that his job is too important to not share with the adults of tomorrow, and so he takes an extra job promoting the work that the UN do in lower and upper schools to children a variety of ages.
Yr15: Another baby girl joins the family in the form of a curly, red-haired bombshell with bright green eyes. Connie and Walt felt that the age gap between Cally and their other children is too large, hence this deliver, the new baby answers to Arianna Margot Ellis.
Yr16: The Ellis Family decide to adopt again, this time it is from Colombia, and Connie and Walt are adopting triplets in the care system due to their addition to a family already consisting of nine children. The triplets are three years old, identical twins Loida Val & Harmonie Iolanda have straight, red hair and hazel eyes, while their fraternal brother, Xavier Marlon, has curly, brown hair and brown eyes.
Yr17: With three more children in the house, Connie and Walt decide to move to a bigger house, this bigger house just so happens to be in London, England.
Yr18: Pascal the Chinchilla had sadly passed on shortly before moving to England, Connie and Walt decide to adopt a lizard to soften the blow, it's called George.
Yr19: Everybody loves George so much that Connie and Walt decide to adopt a turtle too. This one the kids name Philip.
Yr20: The NHS system in England isn't as great as the care system in Canada, so Connie drops she hours and starts working additionally in a care home for terminally ill teenagers.
