I also agree with RoxStar; De is the Dutch word for "the" so with one E it just looks weird to me.

Dee is a common nickname for Deirdre. (I agree with RoxStar, Dee is a better spelling.)

spell it Dee ...It makes more sense to spell it that way, no doubt about pronunciation. Deandra, Delia, Deanna, Denise, really any D name will work.

I agree on the spelling. De looks like the Spanish/ French preposition. It also works for any D name the way Elle works for an L name, Emme works for an M name, Kay works for a K name, and Jay works for a J name.

I like it alright, but I like the Dee spelling more. I like either one much better than DeeDee. I've known two DeeDees. One I went to elementary school with and I don't know if DeeDee was her given name, or a nickname, or if a nickname, what her given name was. The other DeeDee actually had the same first and middle name that I do, Janice Diane, but went by DeeDee. I guess this was to differentiate her from her mother, after whom she was named. Either calling her Jan or Diane would have been better than DeeDee.I really like Deandrea, too. But I'd go with the Dee spelling.
