I love Julia. It's a timeless, beautiful classic. I currently only know one Julia, a one-year-old, though I've met several over the years. I don't think it's overused in my area at least- I hardly ever come across one.

Yes, I feel it's overused, but I live in Poland. Here it was the most popular girl's name between 2001 and 2012 (and the second most popular in 2013, not a big difference). In years 1994-2013 it was given to 208.459 girls.

This name has grown on me a lot the past few months. I'd say it's gotten higher on my would-use list. I don't feel it's overused; I've only ever known one Julia and she's now in mid 20s.

Well, I love it but I'm a little biased. ;) I did grow up with quite a few other Julias but I don't think it's overused. I like being named Julia and it's served me very well.

I like it very much. It's simple, elegant, works in many languages, has impeccable history and doesn't date. I'd happily use it on a daughter. I'm related to two Julias and know a few more, but I don't think it's overused.

I like Julia well enough, though I prefer Julie, and Judith.

It's certainly not overused, where I live, indeed, I don't know anyone named Julia. Well, Julia Roberts, but I don't know her!

I do like it. Julia is a lovely girls name. Very sweet. I personally don't know anyone with the name Julia, however my sisters' nickname is Julia. Short for Juliana.

I don't really feel strongly about it either way.
Not overused, but common enough to feel very ordinary to me.
I know 6 Julias and their ages are completely varied.

I only know three people called Julia. One is in her 50s and the others in their 30s. I don't think it's overused, although I do know lots of women called Julie which is similar - most in their 40s and 50s.

I like Julia very much, it's feminine and pretty but simple. I also like Juliet.

I love the name Julia. I think it's one of the most elegant names out there.

As for Julias I know: My sister, who was born in 1991, is Julia Genevieve but goes by Genevieve. I know a probably-two-year-old Julia and I went to school with a Julia who would have been born in 1986 or 1987. I know a girl Julia who's probably about 25 or 26 now (She is Julia Clarissa, her sister is Anna Louise and her brother is Paul David - always thought they were nicely named) Other than that I don't know any Julias. It's fairly well-used, but not overused like Sophia or Olivia.

I think it's the best woman-name in common use by English speakers. I almost named my daughter it (but chickened out because a close friend had just named her daughter Julia six months earlier).

I don't know very many Julias of any age. I think in the US it's probably something like the 100th most common name for all ages, or less common (going off the fact that it was 89th in 1990). It's steadily used and goes through trends but it has never been a real fad. So no, it's not overused at all as far as I'm concerned.

I love this name. The only Julia I've ever known was my great-aunt. She was born in 1900 and I'm not sure when she died. She was always called Jule, though. I've known a couple of girls named Julie, which was more popular in my generation, but no other Julia. According to the popularity statistics, I guess you could say it's overused. I love it nevertheless and think it makes a great choice.

I don't know any personally, but there is a Julia about my daughter's age in her school, and I heard somebody speaking to a girl who looked to be about four and calling her Julia. So it doesn't seem common to me but that doesn't mean it isn't; the charts say it is.
I don't like it, it seems prissy and prim. I like Julie better.

I know one Julia right now, a girl of 4 months. I know a lot of Julies though.
