Great. Like it a lot, and the combo.
I've never come across Rowan on a girl in the UK, or for that matter anywhere; the American Rowans I know are both blokes.

I like Rowan a lot - magnificent tree, for one thing - but only for a boy. Girls can have Rowena and think themselves lucky.Rowan Gabriel flows just fine. I'm not a big Gabriel fan, but I don't object to it.

Two thumbs up. I like Rowan on a boy, and Gabriel balances it out nicely.

I've never met a female Rowan, nor heard of one IRL, so Rowan for a boy is "normal" to me and I wouldn't consider it otherways.
Rowan Gabriel looks and sounds fine but it also feels as though it is missing something, sorry I can't be more specific, I guess because I'm not wild about either name it just lacks a lot of spark.

Adore Rowan for a boy, but only for a boy (I'd like Rowena for a girl). Rowan makes me think of a boy that everyone underestimates, but turns out to be stronger than anyone ever gave him credit for; not necessarily in physical strength, but mental strength and courage (probably because I read a book like that). Rowan Gabriel is excellent.

I like Rowan for a boy. I used to not, but it's grown on me. The combo is great.

I prefer it for a girl, but Rowan Gabriel is nice.

This is one of the only unisex names that I actually prefer on a girl, but that may be because I knew a really whiny boy Rowan when I was a kid.

This is the one unisex name I truly love on both boys and girls. Love Rowan Gabriel!

I agree, I love Rowan for both. I do prefer it slightly for boys, probably b/c I know a couple of guys named Rowan and one is seriously hot, brilliant, witty... yeah, he lends a very positive association to the name. And, I don't actually know any females names Rowan.

I know a little male Rowan who is nine months old.I've asked about this name before, so I know that I'm in the minority here, but I don't like it for a boy, as I feel that it's not masculine enough. In my opinion, it's one of those names that is not masculine enough for a boy and not feminine enough for a girl.I don't like Gabriel, so Rowan Gabriel is a double whammy.

agreeIt's so non-masculine, and so non-feminine, that it adds up to a big fat nothing at all.

Nice combo but I would only use if for a girl myself. Don't mind it on a boy for others though.
