[Opinions] Kenneth
Kenneth has--for whatever reason--been growing on me. I dunno, IMO it's respectable, not too common (where I live, anyway) and has some nn's I like (Ken is nice, though I love Kenny, despite the possible "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" joke)
So, wdyt???

Kenneth was my father's name. He was sometimes called Ken, or Kenny. My (late) brother's son is named for him.
A good name.

I know what you mean because I've been liking it lately myself. Kenneth is handsome. Ken isn't bad, but I draw the line at Kenny.

It's definitely not common on young boys now, but it's pleasant enough. I think it cries out to be shortened to something, and Kenny is my choice; Ken is fine but I always think of Ken as a bit smug and annoying. Kenny is very much on a different plane than a lot of the boys' names he'd encounter in school, but that might be part of its appeal.

I like Kenny, I think it's cute, but it doesn't grow well. I'm not a fan of Kenneth however, it may be respectable, but I also find it dull and old. I have the same reaction towards Ken.
I wish Kenny was more useable as a stand-alone name, but it has the same vibes as Frankie and Freddie IMO, that it's cute until the kid hits 16, and then not that cute anymore, just pretentious.

I can't help liking Kenneth, old fuddy-duddy though it is. It's just so handsome. According to the popularity chart, it was quite popular in the US for a long time, but despite that, I've only known one. My SO's name is really Kenneth, but he isn't even called that or anything related to it. He's called Buster. What do you think of Kenneth nn Buster, lol?

Kenneth is one of those names I honestly loathe. I don't like the sound of it, or the way it looks. And the nn Kenny makes me cringe.

I think it's a little dated, but it'd be okay as a middle or second middle name, Ken is a good nickname, don't really care for Kenny. I prefer Kent, Kendall (on a boy), Kennedy (on a boy) and Kendrick over Kenneth.

I hope to use this as a middle name if I ever have a son (it's a family name for my SO). I really like Kenny as a nn.

I really like Kenneth, and it's a breath of fresh air to the popular Kendall. I agree that it sounds respectable, but I also think that it has a spunky, fine side. It also puts me in the mind of a knight or freedom fighter type. Honestly, even though I get the reference, I never think of the "killed Kenny" thing when I hear Kenny; I tend to think of the Kenny from The Cosby Show. He was a fun character, one of my favorites on the show, so I really do like the nn Kenny (much more than Ken, which I just have a bad association with). Kenneth is a winner for me!

Its decent..though I honestly dont care for it.
I can certainly tollerate it but the name is "meh" to me.
Also Ken (possible nickname) reminds me of Barbies boyfriend way to much.
