I like India, but it feels a bit misplaced if you've never been there/don't have a reason for using it- more than most other obvious place names. Maybe because as an entity it's so large? Using it as a name feels a bit like taking possession over it and appropriating it at will. This is less big an issue with something like, London, or Booklyn (et al), because they are relatively "small" places in a grander scheme
