I noticed a discussion about how to pronounce my name, both me and my father have always pronounced it as " Kinnerstun "

I went to school with a boy who had this a surname, he pronounced it KIN-a-stun.

I would pronounce it Kih-Nass-tuhn. Since there is no r your pronunciation seems incorrect to me.
