Mellan is the Swedish word for "between" so I can't really take it seriously.
And...it sounds more feminine.

If it helps... my daughter's middle name (Bituin) SOUNDS like the English word "between" so people here find it strange. However, it means "star" in the Philippines, so those there find it enchanting.
