[Opinions] Brynn
I have been pondering the name Brynn lately. I think it is a very soft and pretty sounding name, but some people seem to think it is a little abrupt and harsh sounding. We named our first daughter Claire so we like something simple that is cute and simple but sophisicated and grown-up enough that it will grow with the child. The last names is Provancha. One combo I like is Brynn Elise Provancha, but I also like the name Elise as a first name so I don't know if I would use it as a middle name. What do you think of the name Brynn, the combo Brynn Elise and what other combos can you suggest?

I love Brynn. I use to work with a lady named Brynn and she was awesome, and the name really worked well for her. It's simple, light, but with some substance. The name Brynn Elise is lovely, and it works well with Claire.

Love itwhat about Bynn Isabella? Brynn Alexandra, Brynn Elizabeth, or Brynn Katherine? While I enjoy Elise, I also think pairing it with a more traditional and longer middle adds balance to the combination's sense of balance. I definitely think that Brynn has the short & sophisticated appeal of Claire while still being different enough for sisters.

seem to be alone in this, but-I know two Bryns and a Brynn, and they are all three men. The Brynn is actually married to a Clare...so my mental image is definitely not soft and feminine, LOL! Having said that, I realise I must be in some sort of freakish minority, and I do (after forcibly just thinking about the sound) understand why you like it. Brynn Elise is elegant.

Nope, not in the minorityI've only known male Bryns and can find nothing feminine about it.

Oh- good. Thought I'd gone mad...went for a walk this morning with three "due-date buddies" and one was discussing the merits of Brynn for her expected daughter and I really thought I'd lost it...I'd never heard it even considered for a girl until yesterday!

Personally, I like Elise better but Brynn I adore too so it's hard to pick. Because of Claire tho, I think Elise fits better. ~Lisa~

It's nms (I don't tend to care for that "br" sound) but I think it's a pretty nice name actually for someone who likes it. Brynn Elise sounds nice to me.
