[Opinions] Bonnie
I was just wondering what everyone thinks about the name Bonnie... I think I like it, though I would never actually use it. I used to hate it, bit somehow I started to like it. Mommy to Myrtle Nola (22-10-2012) and baby due 25-05-2015

I used to think middle aged woman when I heard this name. But I met a really pretty gal in her 20's recently named Bonnie. I realized the name is kind of cute, just dated. I think it should make a come back.

I've known 2 people named Bonnie, but as a nickname; One was actually named Margaret, the other Theresa. It's ok as a nickname, but too "light" as a formal name.

I don't know. It's kind of cheesy, but in a pleasant, old-fashioned way.

I don't like it. It brings to mind the perfect pearl-wearing domestic pinterest-y woman. White picket fence and all. I could try to picture it on a little girl, but it would have to be a nickname. Maybe something like:
Abelone
Bonita
Briony
Bronte
Bronwen
Ebony

Bonnie is wonderful. There is something sweet, lovely, and wild about it at the same time.I know some people might find it boring or dated, but I don't really. I don't think it has ever been popular enough to be too dated.I would give her a longer, more formal middle name.Bonnie Charlotte
Bonnie Catherine
Bonnie Caroline
Bonnie Elizabeth
Bonnie Josephine
Bonnie Penelope
Bonnie Gwendolen
Bonnie Adelaide
Bonnie Abigail

My opinion on this changes daily. I think that it's got a cute meaning, but a frilly sound. It is a bit too cutesy for my tastes, but I can see it in use, especially as a nickname. My sister has love loved the name Bonita, with the nickname Bonnie. I happen to prefer that use of the name to the simpler Bonnie.

I hate it. No deep reason, I just think it's ugly.

I really like it. I think it's adorable. I like the idea of using Bonnie as a nickname/shortform for Bronwen.

I like Bronwen and I think Bonnie makes it seem so average a name... however, I love using Bonnie as a nickname... so I would go for Bronwen/Bonnie and would love meeting one.

I think it's cute. There were actually two Bonnies in school with me at various times, which was a bit unusual since Bonnie had been out of fashion for quite a while when I was born.

I know a Bonnie whose official name is Bronwen. Does that help?I think it's a lot to live up to - Bonnie and Bella would be sibs from a nightmare! And what if a Bonnie turned out plain?

better nightmare - Bonnie and Connie (which is what my mother would have named us twins had she birthed us herself!).

You, and your sister, were certainly very lucky! Can't help thinking about ggb triplets: may I introduce your long-lost brother Donnie?
