[Facts] Re: Names in their diminutive form
Depending on your pronunciation, you might be able to extract the nick name Ray out of the last syllable of Desiree. It seems like the older and more common a name is the more nick names it has. Mary is not that long of a name and yet it has loads of diminutives along with various forms. Some of the diminutives are Molly, Polly, Mae, May, and Mamie. Robert has a lot of diminutives: Rob, Robbie, Robin, Bob, Bobby, Bert.
William has Will, Bill, Willie, Billy, and now Liam.
Cassandra can be shortened to Cassie, Cass, Sandy, and Sandra.
Edward- Ed, Eddie, Ned.
