My friend Nikolett & her husband Bartek had their 3rd baby about 4 days ago and his name is:
Ryan
They already have Tristan (7) and Hana (2).
Niki is Hungarian and Bart is Polish. They live in Ireland.
Ryan was named by Tristan, because neither parent could really think of a name.

Tristan could have done a lot worse. It makes a very restrained, pleasant and classic sibset.

.. I would never say it out loud to my friend, but I cringed when she said Tristan was choosing.

What bothers me is that they let him choose because they couldn't think of anything themselves. Really?!

That was the nature of my cringe. I will never have the amount of kids to use all the cool, interesting, beautiful etc names out there and they were tapped out after two.

I don't mind siblings making suggestions. I don't mind parents using good suggestions from their kids, either. Ryan is dated where I am, and there are a bunch of Brians my age. There's nothing wrong with the name, just boring to me.
