[Opinions] Christian
Ironically, I Love the name Christian (for those unaware, I'm a Muslim). It had the honor of being the 400th name added to my PNL. Of course, I wouldn't actually use it to save my child a lifetime of teasing and confusion ("a Muslim named Christian"). However, I still think it has a nice sound and a classical "ring" to it. What's your opinion?

Eh, it's my nephew's name (Christian Alexander). I think it's certainly handsome but wonder if it comes with a certain preconceived notion (that the parents or individual is a Christian) that could get annoying. That's all fine and good if the person is of the Christian faith, but if they aren't and it bugs them ... With my nephew, he's eight so it's not a problem yet (and may never be one). I realize the same issue lies with other Chris names such as Christopher, Christina or Kristen, but somehow, it's not as glaring to me.
It does sound good - better than Christine but not as good as Christopher. Two of my great-grandmothers were named Christiana, so I suppose it and therefore Christian count as family names, but I find Christiana ungainly and Christian inappropriate - as you say, there would be questions.
That said, I know a Jewish atheist with a wife named Christine. This doesn't seem to worry them or anyone else.

Love it
I really dislike it. I know it's a legit name but it's just so weird to me, like naming a kid Jewish.
Of all the chris-names, I only like Christoph better than Christian in sound and flow. And, in relation to your comments... my brother is Christian and he is an atheist, which I have always thought ironic. He Christian Daniel.. So doubly biblical.
I agree that a Muslim named Christian would raise a few eyebrows. However not enough that I would personally care if I loved the name.
Though I can totally see your side as well. I would likely never name a child Mohammed or Krishna etc. Just makes no sense to use a name so associated with a way of life if you don't prescribe to it.. regardless of the names prettiness or strength.

I like the name Christian it's classical and handsome. I cannot perceive why a child would be teased for having the name Christian since its fairly common and unreproachable, unless you think Muslims would tease him? I agree that it would cause confusion. There are quite a few non-Christians with that name, but their parents might have been Christians or at least had an appreciation for Christian virtues. Of course, your son might not decide to follow his parents faith either, but it would still come as a surprise for a man with Muslim parents to be called Christian.
