[Opinions] Aderyn - how would you pronounce it?
I have heard a Welsh person pronouncing it, so I'm not necessarily looking for the "correct" pronunciation here. What I'm after is how would you yourself pronounce the name Aderyn, whether it's the "correct" way or not. Have you seen it/heard it before? How would you say it if you only saw it written down?
Thanks :)

I've always read it as a-DEHR-in. I think it improves the sound if you make sure the first syllable really is a short 'a' vowel, and not merely a schwa.
To me, seeing the way it is spelt I pronounce it ADD - ER - IN
unsure if it's because I'm from NZ or that's just how I've read it as :)

My first instinct would be to pronounce it ah-DEH-rin.
I say it A-duur-in, almost rhyming with pattern and saturn. I can't recall having come across it in real life, and I don't remember if I've ever heard it said... but I have seen it quite a bit, here on these boards and on like nameberry and similar sites.

If I had no knowledge of Welsh, ADD-dare-en. But I've spent time with Welsh accents and with their speech patterns would now think the stress is on the second syllable.
ah DEH rin, & yes I've seen it before :) But only as a word, never as a name.
I've seen it written but I've never heard it pronounced. My best guess is uh-DAIR-en.
I'd say uh-DER-in.
I'd pronounce it a-DEH-rin, but I haven't heard it pronounced before.
Well, when I originally saw this name, I guessed "uh-DARE-in", "DARE" rhyming with "CARE". But, I should say that I'd already been looking at Welsh names and how they're pronounced because of my Welsh ancestry.
The only other way I think people might pronounce it, would be to stress the first syllable, "ADD-eh-rin", which just doesn't sound right to me, personally, so I wouldn't try that first.
