AV-e-leenI'm quite pleased to see most people pronounce it the same way! I always anticipated that most people would say ""AVA-line"I think it's beautiful! I love Abilene too but wouldn't be one to reference a Texan town.

I say "leen," but I'm always ready to adapt to the bearer's preference when it comes to names that end in -line.

My first inclination is to say AH-vuh-leen, but if I met something with the name I'd ask them how to say it.

AV-el-lynn. Lin like in Katherine, Madeline, Jacqueline.
Second most natural would be leen.

Leen like Eileen. AV-a-leen.It's a very nice name. I love how medieval it sounds.

I think you can pronounce it multiple ways.My first instinct is usually to say A (as in cat) AV-uh-leen, but then I always second (and triple) guess myself. My second instinct is to say AYVA-line. But AYVA-leen is also used. Moral of my personal story: don't use this name! haha
