The mispelling detracts from the integrity of Jacob. However, since it is already used on a child - I can only assume that it honors a relative named Jay or the parents made an awkward choice for someone who is, likely, adorable despite his name.

I much prefer Jacob. I know it's popular but in no way does Jaycub improve it. It just looks like someone who speaks slowly spelled it phonetically as well as they could.
