There are some dated names that I can separate from their datedness and can see myself liking if I were around when they were fresh and new. My own name is one of these. However, Carol and Carole are not. I really think that I would dislike Carol and Carole even if they weren't dated. I think I'd hate them even if I were having kids in their heyday.
