[Opinions] Annabeth?
What do you think of the name Annabeth?
Is it to oldschool of a name?
What would be a good middle name for it to go along with?
What do you think of the nickname "AB" or is there a better one? Thanks so much for the help!!:)

I think it's nice, and like others that it's not really too old-school to use. I also think of the Percy Jackson character which is a good association for these days. I like it better than Annabelle and other Anna-names (ann-marie, etc.) You could call her Abba! LOL just kidding. I'd probably use Beth myself. Boring? maybe to some. I think it's pretty. Re: Tiggs I think Abby/Abbey could work. AB is a bit awkward-sounding to my ear.

I love Annabeth. It reminds me of character in the Percy Jackson books, who was pretty cool. Maybe because of that I'd actually say it comes across as more modern and different than old school. I have Annabeth Pandora Echo on my list, but that might be too unusual (?). I also like Annabeth Eliza, Annabeth Marilyn, Annabeth Clio, Annabeth Frances, and Annabeth Trixie. AB (pn. Ay-bee?) is okay, but does sound more like a nn for Abe, so perhaps a little masculine. But it's probably
the most interesting option, apart from the usual Annie, Ann, Beth, Abbie. Hope that helped!

I think it's very sweet and not too old school at all.
Annie would be my choice of nn.
I would pair it with:
Helena
Lucille
Merav
Naomi
Rowena
Zara

I replied to Aine's Annabeth post the other day (you did too, so I think you can find it) and suggested some middle names, so I won't repeat that here, but to answer your specific question, no, I don't think Annabeth too "old school". Are you pronouncing "AB" like Abbey? Or like the alphabet letters themselves?

For the nickname, i would pronounce "AB" as the letters themselves.
