[Opinions] Re: Cyan
Cyan has a nice sound (I pronunce it sy-ANN, too), but I dislike the colour--so I wouldn't use it, personally. It's fine for someone else.Alba~ I like it, and also Albina and Alberta. Of the three, Alberta's my favourite (because of Alberta Hunter), but Alba's a close second.
Emmanuelle~ It's one I can't get behind--which is weird, because I like Emmanuel for a boy. This just sounds soap opera-y to me.
Fabiana~ I have the sinking feeling that it's still too similar (in the US, at least) to Fabio for usage. But I think it's pretty nice all the same. I like Fabia better, which is even worse!
Merryn~ I can only picture Seda's kid. And since I didn't have the best of opinions on Seda, I don't like this at all. Merit, Maren, Meryl, Merle, and Mariel all sound nicer to my ears.
Tessa~ I rather like it, but I don't think I'd ever be able to use it. See, my mother's a Teresa, and she hates pretty much every diminuitive form of the name! :D
Viviana~ I dislike this--it's horribly frou-frou in a staid way, like Juliana's bitchy older cousin.Darcy~ Very nice, but not quite enough for me personally.
Hosea~ About the equivalent of naming a girl Alleluia, I think. Extremely religious sounding to me--and I am quite religious, so that's saying something!
Ronan~ A ronin, in Japan, was a masterless samurai. Now, it refers to people who've failed university or high school entrance exams. Despite the fact that they sound slightly different, that's all I can think of.
Silas~ I've been trying to warm up to this for six years, and it still just sounds like "silo" to me.
Trueman~ As Truman, I like it. But if I used it, I think that my sisters would figure it was after Mr. Capote! :D I don't like Trueman so much; the E looks terribly superfluous to me.Array

Your never ending spree of death and violence and hate
Is gonna tie your own rope...I'd like to leave the world as a better place.
