I came across this question on Google because I was looking fo the word 'bidigen' which I learned as a craftsman mending cracked pottery or other objects. Bidi gem is the name I have used to describe the dust mixed with the glue to fill missing splinters. I could find no reference to that but maybe (probably) it's an invented neologism by the trade to describe an obscurity.
