I think I could see it working for either. As a girl's name, it puts me in the mind of Astrid, a solid and strong yet still feminine name. As a boy's name, it makes me think of both Lloyd and Lyric (the latter of which I have always preferred for a boy anyway), so it seems zany, whimsical, and airy, a softer male choice. I think I'd probably end up using it as a cool middle name for a girl, if I were to use it, but I think it could truly work fine for either.
