Message: "Rylan" - Behind the Name

I really like the name Riley for a boy, but I know it has become popular, esp as a girl name so I have been looking for alternatives.
What do you think of the name Rylan for a boy?

How do Isla, Archer, Rylan and Amelia sound?
I know Ameila stands out a bit as it is more popular, but its just so pretty!

I prefer Riley.

I don't care for it, honestly. It's not awful, but it's name I'd catagorize with Dylan, Ryan, Tyler, Kyler, Kyle etc. Just a semi-trendy group of names that have never appealed much to me.

I don't care for Rylan. It seems made-up and trendy (not to be confused with 'popular'). Rylan & Archer are similar, as Isla & Amelia are somewhat similar (old-fashioned and feminine), but the whole set doesn't "go" together, imo. :-/

I don't really like Rylan, but I do prefer it to Riley. I love Isla, Archer and Amelia! (I've considered Archer myself, but I just know someone would shorten it to Archie, and I cannot live with that nickname.)

Amelia's not the one standing out to me, but Rylan is. I don't like it. It seems made up and tryndy. Isla and Amelia are beautiful. I do like Archer (and love Archie), but a lot on here don't.

I agree, but I think Archie is cute

I like Archie but Archibald is a bit stuffy, so the only way for people like me to get this nn would be naming him Archer.

Of course, this would be a backwards naming, starting with the nn and not the formal name.

I don't like Rylan, sorry. It's very forgettable and boring IMO. It's just one of those "blegh" names you won't remember five seconds after you hear them. I think it lacks character.

Isla and Amelia, on the other hand, are both gorgeous and very beautiful.

Rylan is nice but what about Ryland? So that Rylan is not mistaken for Ryan.

Both Isla and Amelia are lovely names. I like Rylan/d too, but it rhymes with Isla.

I love Rylan, and I think the set of Isla, Rylan and Amelia sounds nice together.
