Overused and prissy.

I prefer it for a boy and I prefer the spelling Bryn.
For I girl I prefer Branwen.

I shake my head sadly and hope she's got a nice mn that she can choose to go by.Bryn to me is all huge Welsh rugby player, training by running up a mountain with a sheep under each arm. Adding a gratuitous extra -n does not a fem name make.

I dislike it. I find it too curt and also the "Br" sound feels forced to me.

Brynn is nice.

It's okay. One of my best friends as a little kid was a girl named Brynn.

I like Bryn, but it's masculine to me.

Prefer Bryn- it's more Welsh! Brynn just looks wrong to me.

I agree Bryn looks more Welsh/authentic. But to me, Bryn is very masculine, so I would cringe even more to see that on a girl. Brynn looks more feminine, so if it must be a girl's name, I'd prefer to see that spelling.Actually, an acquaintance of mine recently had a girl and named her Brinn and I surprisingly really like that. Then it doesn't even look like it's fighting to be the same name, and it seems much "cleaner."

Ooh, Brinn is nice, actually. With that I don't mind the double letter as it doesn't feel as Welsh, haha! But yes, Bryn is a masculine name. I guess Brynn just looks messy to me, so I'd think about that before considering gender (similarily, though I think Quynne looks more feminine, I prefer Quinn- and yes, I do know a baby Quynne!)

I'm the opposite; I think Brynn looks more "finished".

I can see what you mean- but I think Welsh names are quite often very letter-light? For instance, after suggesting Elin (my sister's name!) to someone on another site, I was told it didn't have enough letters. Also Cadi, etc. I tend to wriggle away from double-letters.
