I do too. Can't stand that h and Susanna's okay, but too frilly for my liking.

Yes, I prefer Suzanne. It's more... zappy. For me, Susuannah is a heartbreakingly beautiful and completely religious young 'maiden', while Suzanne is her adventurous and slightly mad older sister.

Usually I don't much go for spondees, but Suzanne is cheerful and energetic and I like it a lot. That said, given enough daughters I'd have used Susannah (as a mn) for family reasons. Or, perhaps exchanged it for either Suzanne or Suzette, but never dowdy Susan.

Nah. I like Suzanne -- it's crisp and refreshing.

Suzanne is zesty! I love it. Suzette appeals to me as well.

If you are crazy, I must be too because I like Suzanne more than Susannah as well. Susannah is pretty, sweet and conjurers up the image of a wholesome country girl with cornflowers in her hair. To me Suzanne sounds a little more sophisticated, sultry and sleek. It works well for modern and old fashioned girls a like. I like both names, but for me, I prefer Suzanne. Perhaps it is because I consider Suzanne Pleshette one of the most beautiful women.

I like Suzanne way more than I ever liked Susannah. Susannah is frumpy and wears a hoopskirt and has a spinning wheel; Suzanne dresses like a million bucks and she might know how to spin, but that isn't all she does. Suzanne gets around.

LOL, I wish you could see my half-sister Suzanne. She's frumpy-looking and looks like she'd be way more likely to wear a hoopskirt and have a spinning wheel than to get around. Of course I know that wouldn't really change your opinion of the name, any more than Dorothy Stratten makes me think that Dorothy is any less terminally dowdy.

I totally do, too. I like it about ten times as much as I like Susannah. Suzanne seems so much more lively and direct.

I don't like it more than Susannah, because: Generally speaking, the longer a girls' name is, the more I like it, I like "a" and "ia" endings, I like Biblical names a lot more than I like French names, and Suzanne is dated and Susannah is not. AND, a very big "and", and strictly personal, Suzanne is the name of my half-sister whom I hate.My youngest sister really loved Susanna (without the H) for a girl, but she couldn't use it because of our half-sister Suzanne. But no you're not crazy, must be a lot of a people who prefer Suzanne to Susannah.
