I never used to think about this name at all - in terms of popular "virtue" names I prefer Hope and Charity. But the other day I saw it as the middle name on a couple forms for elderly women, and it suddenly seemed amazingly pretty and unexpected. In a sea of Margarets and Dorises it was really fun to see a Faith. It seems like such an open, breezy name compared to the darker, more shut-in style of names I usually encountered. It's interesting that it's technically so popular, because I've also never met a Faith in my life.

So, I sort of like it too. If I ponder on it too long it starts to become a bit more flimsy and cheesy, but it is rather pretty.
