[Opinions] Everest
What do you think of this name on a boy? I have always liked it. I know it's a place/thing name but I prefer it much better than Paris or London or Dakota. How about the combo Everest William? or Everest William George (George is my grandfather) or just Everest George? Can you think of any nice combos for Everest? Thanks.

It's definantly not as bad as Paris and London, and Everest William sounds nice. I just have the problem that I think it sounds like ever-rest, rest for ever, so it's kinda bad.
But it look and sounds nice.

I far prefer Everett, which has the same feel. I just can't imagine a (comparatively small) human called Everest. And imagine if he were short ... He'd never live it down.Of your combos, I'd choose Everest George. I really dislike William, and it seems to be soaring. Everett*I agree with Elinor in that Everett is a much better name and also very close to Everest. But if you are set on Everest (please consider Everett) I think that William Everest, William George Everest, George Everest, or George William Everest sound much better. I'm not trying to lessen the name by only suggesting it as a mn, I'm sure there's a mn out there for it - I just can't think of it right now :D - it's just that with William and/or George it sounds better in the second slot."We can even learn from our enemies." -Ovid

Everest is rather cute, although I do prefer Everett.I like Everest William the best, but all three of your combos could work.

Everest is really nice! I like Paris, Dakota, and London too lol"There is none Holy like The Lord, there is none besides Thee; there is no Rock like our God." (1 Samuel 2:2 RSV)

I really would discourage it. All I can think of is climbing a mountain, and when he's older if he's tall at all he'll hear a lot of jokes because of his name (or even worse, the irony of his being short...). Then there's the possible sexual humor. :-/ Everett is MUCH nicer imo.

Sir George Everestis the man who first climbed the mountain, and for whom it is named. So that pairing seems odd (but logical) to me, but I don't think that many people will make the connection. It was a surname before it was the highest mountain on earth, but either is a bit problematic, unless Everest is a family name. Everett or Everard?sa
