Total yay! It's been on my list for years now. I love that it's a less common -belle name, love the frilliness, love that it can be easily shortened to Mira. I'd definitely use it.

I like it, but wouldn't use it. It's a little bit too frilly. In a story it would be gorgeous, though. Astrid Lindgren (who wrote Pippi Longstocking) has written a short story about a girl who gets a magical doll called Mirabell.

It's pretty but too froufrou for me. I, personally, would just stick with Mira. Cuter, shorter, ages better.

Nay. The -belle ending is way overdone and I find it sounds silly and whiny.

Isn't Mirabelle a kind of fruit - a pear, I think. And Mirabel in whatever play it is, was a man ... on the whole, I'd rather use Mirabel than the fruitier version on a female child. But I probably wouldn't. Nothing wrong with it really, but there are so many names I like better.

I really dislike that spelling. It looks so floofy. Yuck.Spell it Mirabel, though, and I like it. I recently saw a store clerk with the name Mirabel on her nametag. It's neat!Mirabel Yvonne
Mirabel Cassia

Yeah, I'm still not sure if Mirabelle or Mirabel is better. Should have put that in the OP, d'oh.

Nay.Too cutesy, and well, pretty much only suitable on a disney princess or a toddler.

I have a weird association that goes along with this name, but suffice it to say that it's made me really, really like it. It's very simple and down-South to me; I guess the best way I can describe my feelings for the name is that it's like drinking sweet tea while watching the sun set on the prairie. The only downside is that I prefer it as a first name, but I always have trouble coming up with combos for -belle names when they're in the first spot. Bah.Mirabelle Georgia
Mirabelle Esther
Mirabelle Clara
Mirabelle Ruth
Mirabelle Sonnet (where did that come from)
Mirabelle Frances
Mirabelle Harriet
Mirabelle Lenore

I like it and think it's a pretty and less popular alternative to Isabelle and Annabelle

It's very princess-y. I like it in a fluffy way. I read a book about a character named Princess Mirror-Belle which kind of put me off it.
Combos I'm not great at, but I'd go for something more no-nonsense to round it off a bit:Mirabelle Jean
Mirabelle Dana
Mirabelle Vera
Mirabelle Sara
Mirabelle MaryOr maybe play princess to the max:Mirabelle Floretta
Mirabelle Louisa
Mirabelle Clarimonde
Mirabelle Aurora
Mirabelle AramintaOr just go for something simple and classy:Mirabelle Clara
Mirabelle Eloise
Mirabelle Freya
Mirabelle Kate
Mirabelle Lucia

nayThe mir sound is whiny, the abelle sound is overblown, and the whole package sounds like overpriced youth cosmetics or what somebody would name their cat.
