[Opinions] Joachim
What are your thoughts on Joachim? It slipped my mind for a while but I'm back to loving it.For those in the U.S., how would you pronounce it upon seeing it?(I pronounce it JOE-ah-kim.)

I like it! The first time I heard it was because it is Yogscast Rythian's first name, spelled Joakim! I pronounce it Yo-Ah-Keem!

Instinctively I say Yoe-keem. Everyone around me says Joe-keem. I really like it, too.

It's a common name here (but usually spelled Joakim). It's Ok, but not a favorite. Donald Duck's Uncle Scrooge is called Joakim in Sweden, BTW. The most common NN is Jocke.

Ha! That's funny about Scrooge.

I'd say YO-ah-keem. I like it but don't love it, and I don't really care for the hard J pronunciation.

I've always liked it, but never loved it. I think it's handsome and sort of under the radar.I'm in the US and I'd pronounce it YO-a-kim. The only one I've ever met (about age 30) pronounces it that way, and that's also my first instinct. I didn't even know it could be pronounced JOE-a-kim!

I think it's alright, although a bit boring since it's not exactly unusual where I live. If I had been a boy my name would have been Fredrik or Joakim

Your parents have the same taste in names as the Danish queen :)
