I LOVE the Name Alice and always adored the nickname 'Liss' (Ah-liss)
I think 'Liss' fits perfectly (:
And if you don't want people to call her by a nickname, haveAlice be the middle name or simply don't use it. You can't control what other people call your kid;classmates and such.
To make you feel better, most Alice's I encountered, just went by Alice. No nickname.
