Wouldn't Marinda be pronounced differently? I would say it ma-RIN-dah. Willoughby wolloughby willina, an elephant sat on Billina.
Willoughby wolloughby wirfak, an elephant sat on Mirfak.

That's true. I was just speaking to the matter of people changing the spelling for whatever reason. Marinda DOES sound odd to me, but I can also see how it could be easily confused for Miranda -- especially if said quickly.
