[Opinions] New Swedish princess and prince: Sofia and ...
There have been two new additions to Sweden's royal family in the last few days. The new princess isn't a baby but Prince Carl Philip's wife (they married on the 13th), Sofia Kristina (Hellqvist). Befitting name, as both Sofia and Kristina are old royal names, the names of several Swedish queens and princesses. :)The other new addition to the royal family is Princess Madeleine's and her husband Christopher O'Neill's new baby: Prince Nicolas Paul Gustaf was born on the 15th. He's the little brother of Princess Leonore Lilian Maria.Paul was the name of Chris O'Neill's late father.
Gustaf is a classic Swedish royal name, most recently used for the current king, Carl XVI Gustaf, Madeleine's father. To sum up, the Swedish Royal Family now looks like this:Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus [King Carl XVI Gustaf]
Silvia Renate [Queen Silvia]
D: Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée [Crown Princess Victoria]
- H: Olof Daniel [Prince Daniel]
-- D: Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary [Princess Estelle]
S: Carl Philip Edmund Bertil [Prince Carl Philip]
- W: Sofia Kristina [Princess Sofia]
D: Madeleine Thérèse Amelie Josephine [Princess Madeleine]
- H: Christopher Paul "Chris" O'Neill [no title]
-- D: Leonore Lilian Maria [Princess Leonore]
-- S: Nicolas Paul Gustaf [Prince Nicolas]

Sofia Kristina really is a befitting and decent name for a princess. I like Nicolas Paul Gustaf a lot, especially how well it goes with Leonore Lilian Maria.
