DH: James Bradley [Winter] Romanescu
DH: Steven George [Capitani] Romanescu
DW: Natasha Alexandra Romanescu
DS: Dominic Spencer "Nico"
DS: Xavier Miles
DS: Felix Graham
DS: Julius Oliver "Jules"
DS: Sebastian Brooks "Basha"
and
DS: Anton Leland
After the addition of Sebastian, Natasha started talking more seriously about adopting a daughter.
"Or two?" Steven would tease. "Or else, she's be trapped here with all these boys."
"Tell me about it," Natasha moaned sarcastically.
"Nico's going to be fifteen this year," James said late one night while looking at his laptop. "How spaced out do we want these kids? If we're going to adopt, we should do it now."
"We may not have to," Natasha replied. "There's a pregnancy test in my bathroom that I'm putting off taking. Cross your fingers."
"Someone didn't cross their fingers tight enough," Natasha said flatly as the parents all looked at the ultrasound scans. "Start looking for girls. This will be our sixth boy. Another boy and I will take a month long vacation every year to go braid hair and watch ballet."
"You can braid Felix's hair," James supplied.
"And Xavier would never mind seeing ballet," Steven added.
"But seriously," Natasha said.
"I know," James spoke while massaging Natasha's neck and shoulders.
Of course, when Anton was born, no one was truly put off to have another boy. And no one said it out loud, but they were all presently surprised and extremely grateful to have him born so healthy. He looked exactly like Jules had, except unlike his older brother, he hadn't followed in his father's footsteps and been thin and unhealthy. Anton was sent home the next day like most healthy babies and grew strong just the way Steven hoped and prayed for each day.
"He's not sick like me, Dad?" Julius asked one of the first days, peering into Anton's crib.
"No, he isn't sick like you were," James replied. "But you're not sick anymore. We're a healthy, happy family."
The child nodded.
"What do you think of adding someone else to this family?"
"Another one?" Nico asked from the doorway behind them.
"Adoption. A girl," James replied.
"Or two!" Steven called from the next room.
