[Facts] Pronunciation Question
I'd like to know how to pronounce the Welsh name Carys. A lot of people seem to love this name and I don't even know how to say it. Thanks!

KAH-riss, rhymes with Paris. Although many Americans often pronounce it as CARE-iss.

Often like this:Ka-ris. It comes from Welsh caru "to love" and has a relative Caryn although that's often a form of Karen.

From what I've heard, I think most English-speakers say KER-is (KAIR-is), while the Welsh say KA-ris.But don't quote me on that!
