-I love this name. I found it about a year ago when I was looking for a character name and loved it instantly. It just has that spark.

-No, I've never met a Xanthe.
3. If you haven't met one and did, what would your reaction be?
-I'd be gushing about it, probably.
4. What colour hair would you think a girl named Xanthe would have?
-Red or blonde. Possibly dyed some impossible color.
5. Do you think it goes with my other kids names?
-Not Nathan and Blake, but it goes nicely with the girls' names.

5. Not really. It's very different and largely unheard of, whereas they're not names you would quirk an eyebrow at (although I do love them, I'm even warming to Blake). But maybe as a middle name?

Xanthe Elise- love Elise, but it doesn't flow IMO
Xanthe Camille- lovely
Xanthe Iris- nice
Xanthe Rose- feels a little filler
Xanthe Isobel- okay, prefer Isabelle

Xanthe Christine ( honouring)- very nice
Xanthe Joyce ( honouring)- sweet
Xanthe Ivy ( honouring)- no, I don't think it does flow. What about Xanthe Isobel Ivy?
What about using it as a mn? Eliza Xanthe is pretty, and I think Eliza goes really well with your other kids' names. Maybe Elisa Xanthe? You like Elise. Or Isobel Xanthe, that would work. Also Leona Xanthe. I have a soft spot for Isobel Xanthe Joyce.

2. I've never met one, but rural Michigan is not a place where Xanthe is normally seen and would be viewed as exotic.
3. I'd love the name and glad to have finally met one.
4. I'd suspect a blonde or brunette, I can't see it on a redhead.
5. I can see it going with the sisters, but Blake would clash. So no, I can't see the name fitting in very well stylistically.
6. I can see Camille and Elise working well with Xanthe.

It's ok. I personally wouldn't elect to use it though.

Yes, one person. It was years ago, I'm not sure how old she was but I'd guess she would be about 20 years old now.
