[Opinions] Amanda and Declan
These are my brother's top choices. He already has four kids - Brianna, Emma, Natalie and Lilyanna nn Lily. This baby would be their half-sibling.Thoughts?

I really love Amanda, it's so pretty. It's not as trendy as the triplets' names, more in line with Brianna's name.
I don't like Declan, it seems clattery and somehow cold.

I like Amanda, too. It's pretty and simple. Declan...eh.

Amanda has grown on me, but I have never liked Declan. It's clumsy.

I love both but I wouldn't use Amanda, because it was popular and is now dated. Declan is great.

Declan is my boyfriend's favourite name and I can't stand it. I like Amanda and it would be nice to hear on a child.

I'm curious as to what they will use. They have a long road ahead of them - they are going the open adoption, newborn route - so it will be at least a year before they get their baby.

OTHearing about places where it takes only a year to adopt a newborn makes me very sad and depressed that I live where I do, and I generally love my country. Sorry, I’ve just been looking into adoption and feeling very discouraged right now.

Don't like Amanda - it's dated. It's very popular in my own generation where I live. Declan is nice though, although a bit different in style from the other kids's names.

I like Amanda. It's sweet but not frilly.
I hate Declan, it sounds harsh and I just don't like it. Amanda would be good for a sibling. I guess Declan would fit in too.

Amanda wouldn't be the easiest name to pronounce along with Brianna and Lilyanna but OTOH, it matches the style of the big sisters' names perfectly. Declan doesn't match quite as well. Still, it's a nice name and I find it infinitely more interesting than Amanda.

I like Amanda, but not Declan (see down below, it's my least favorite name).

Amanda - whilst I should like it because it's my Mum's name, It just sounds dated to me. I do like that it can be shortened to Amy thoughDeclan is cool, I don't love it, but I don't dislike it either, it just is. Out of his other children's names Brianna feels dated to me (though I used to love it when I was 15/16 - so 10 years ago) maybe it was in then? Emma is nice, but a little blahI like NatalieLilyanna is too much for me, but I like Lily and I like AnnaBrianna, Emma, Lilyanna and Amanda is a bit to much of the letter a for me.

I know at least a dozen girls named Amanda so to me, the name is incredibly dated and overused. Some days I like Declan and other days I don't. It kind of feels like a cross-between of December and Dillon/Dylan (I simply detest Dillon/Dylan to the ends of my soul). I think if your brother goes with Amanda, that's just too many A's (10 in all) in one set of siblings and of course, that's only first names.

Middles are Lynn, Hope, Grace and Faith. Amanda's would be Rose.
