[Opinions] from the obits
An obit today for a lady named Prela, who died at 99. It says she was predeceased by her sisters, one of whom was named Pearl. Prela and Pearl. It doesn't say if they were twins, but I might wager a small amount of money on it.I think, therefore I judge.

I've never seen Prela. I have seen Perla. Either way, I like Pearl best. I suppose it's possible they were twins but I've known of children who weren't twins having similar names like this.

I somewhat like Pearl. It does sound like they were twins but then again, my grandmother birthed 13 kids. 11 of whom had ridiculously matchy names. (Every -'Arry' name you can possibly think about; Harry, Larry, Barry, Parry (Paul) Mary, Sherri, Carrie etc. Not joking. Many of them went by a nicknames; unassociated with their name. Personally, I don't think its such a wise decision to have sibling names be so matchy. Twins or non-twins.
Anyways, Prela & Pearl do come off as twin names but at least they aren't too matchy. (Well they are matchy but not at an obnoxious level)At least its not perla & Pearl

Prela could be pretty if it's "pree-la". It seems to fit in with those vaguely exotic Southern-y names like Leola, Enola, Luana, Nona, etc. But put it next to Pearl and it looks so awkward.

I'm a big fan of anagrams for twins, it's my favorite theme. However, this one is tough, I probably would have gone with Pelar myself. Prela sounds pretty though. I actually read Perla at first.

twin anagramsWhat are your favourite twin anagram names? I'm really bad at them and can only think of the really simple ones like Amy and May, Leon and Noel, etc.

I don't like them much but there's one location in Nepal called Samari. The anagram? Marisa.

For girls, my favorite has to be Daniela and Adaline. Both are names I love and the connection is not super obvious. If you prefer the Adeline spelling, then Delanie is also a great match. For boys it would be Darren and Renard for sure. Some others:
BOY/GIRL
Aidan and Diana
Alain and Liana
Arlo and Lora
Blaise and Isabel
Cyril and Lyric
Donnie and Ondine
Ioseph and Sophie
Leandro (or Leonard) and Elondra
Lionel and Noelli
Lloyd and Dolly
Ramon and Norma
Rolan and Lorna
Tate and Etta
GIRL/GIRL
Alice and Lacie
Aster and Tresa
Deanna and Nadene (Dianne and Nadine)
Ellen and Nelle
Elmira and Mariel
Melanie and Emelina
Mira and Irma
Olivia and Viola
Regina and Graine
Rhona and Norah
Tiana and Anita
Nuala and Luana

I used to really want twins, being one myself. However, I will admit that I used an anagram generator a couple of years ago for my favorite names. I have a huge Excel file full of anagram names with somewhere around 2300 combos if anyone is ever looking for any. ;)
