If I had to choose one of the following to use where I live, it would be Roland or AlexandreBut if I lived in France or Quebec I would choose one of these: Etienne, Rainier, Leandre, Marcel, Renaud, Achille, Thierry, Roland, Sylvain, Armand, Valentin, Valery, Bastien, Alain, Alexandre

Remy. I love Rene, but I much prefer the sound of Renee on girls. Plus, Remy is simple and sweet, and tons of sports players are named Remy (or so my husband tells me).

RemyI like Remy. I probably wouldn't use it as the first name though because of its pronunciation that may cause confusion.I don't like Rene. It reminds me of Rene Zellweger and therefore isn't masculine enough.

I love Remy / Rémy as long it is not pronounced like ray-my, which is both ugly and wrong (at least if you want the French pronunciation).

Remy. I prefer the sound, and Rene reminds me of Rennie indigestion tablets.
