Lucy can be a name unto its own, but it can also be a nickname for Lucille, Lucia or Lucinda.

I can see thses standing alone
Trudy ~ not bad, there are worse names...
Ella ~ my cousin's full name, so I have always thought of it as one...but I really loathe it
Molly ~ had a classmate in Elementry school with this name as a full name
Sally ~ Its about the same as Trudy
Eliza
EliseHarry~~Kris~~

Very, very few. In Britain, and England especially, pet forms as full names are all the rage. But they're a huge pet peeve of mine. English BAs are all Ben, Billy, Millie, Ellie, Freddie, Beth and it makes me want to scream. There are a handful I do like though, because I feel they sound like formal names:Girls
Elsa
Eliza
Hallie
Sasha
TheaBoys
Archie (not 100% convinced of this one, though)
Harry

Nora
Eliza
Margot (I prefer the spelling Margo)

Of yours, I like:
Liv - I also thought this was LIV, with a short "i" but I recently learned it's LEEV. Too close to the word "leave" for me. But it's still cool, lol.
Ella - I don't even think about this being a nn, really
Kate
Molly
Maisie
Mamie
Greta
Nora
Daisy
Lucy
Annie
Elise - I don't think of this as a nn, either Harry
FinnSome more I find "acceptable" are:
Max
Sam
Jake
Jack
Liam
Leo
DrewLucy
I'm drawing a blank on girls atm. :-/

Liv is a Scandinavian formal name in itself, not a nnLiv is indeed pronounced as "leave" and means "life".But I guess Americans use it as a nn for Olivia, then pronounced with a short I-sound (Livv).Leo and Lucy are also formal names in themselves. Lucy is not more a nn than Mary is a nn for Maria."But it’s all right now.
I learned my lesson well.
You see you can’t please everyone
So you got to please yourself."

I knew about Leo and Lucy, but I was having a hard time coming up with examples. :b And they are sometimes used as nn's for Leonard/Leonardo and Lucille/Lucinda, respectively. I also knew Liv was a name on its own, but I just "assumed" it was also pronounced with a short "i". :-/~Heather~

I think there are some that are ok as stand alone names and some that arent...
like my name is Elise and that has been used as a stand alone name since medieval times and it has its own meaning (which isnt on BtN) of rejoiceful and joyful.
Other names from your list that I think are ok by themselves are:
Ella
Nancy
Margot
Lucy
Greta
Molly
Kate
Millie
Harry
ArchieI think Alex needs to be short for something, and Finn is a stand alone name. It is the anglicised version of Fionn which is an ancient Irish name
