[Opinions] Ceanna and Siona
A friend of mine is pregnant, and her young daughter announced that if it is a girl, she wants them to call it Ceanna. I suggested maybe it was a variant on Oceana. Later though, my friend corrected her post to say that her daughter wrote it down as Siona. I know they are pronounced differently, but obviously this 5 year old does not. Which leads me to these questions: (1) What do you think of Ceanna or Siona as names?(2) What do you think of either in her sibset (siblings are Lily, Colby, and Leila)? ______________________________________________

They make me think of Sheena, Shona, Seona, Sienna, Leona, and Cyan.I don't like Ceanna at all. It's so close to Sienna, which I think is infinitely better. Siona's ok. I would probably assume it was a variant of Seona, and I might actually like it more spelled with an 'i'.I think either Sienna or Siona fits in pretty well with the siblings' names.

1. they seem invented. But, not bad, considering. Like a Shauna/Sienna smush, creatively but not too-creatively spelled.
2. either would be fine as sib.

1. They look like a hot mess. Sienna is decent, though.
2. I'd wonder what happened after Leila.

I imagine a lot of people would think it was Sienna - which would probably be better with the sibset.

Aw, that's cute! Ceanna could also be a form of Sienna or Siana, depending if they were more into Italy or Ireland. Siona is nice pronounced Sho-nah, and if they didn't pronounce it like that it might be confusing. My friend's mom is named Shona, which I think is pretty. Lily, Colby, Leila, and Siona sounds nice! Ceanna sticks out as having more syllables, I think. When my little sister was about to be born, I was eight. I wanted to call her Aimee :^P

I don't care for either one but if I had to chose, it would Siona. I don't see anything wrong with it being part of the sibset. The only pattern I see is that the other names all have L's but otherwise, nothing.Lily is the only name out of the lot that I actually like so my opinion is probably skewed.
