Aw. Mick was my grandfather's nickname (for Michael, of course). It's so good to hear it's being used again.
And sure, why ever not use Teddy as a nickname for Edmund? I don't require logic in coming up with nicknames. Edmund (so handsome, btw), nn Doodlebug, makes sense to me. Or, Bernard, nn Teddy (Bernard = bear, teddy bear -- get it?) So Edward / Edmund / Edwin / Edgar, nn Ted / Teddy, is A-OK by me. :0)
